Site Plan Control Application
The application form outlines the requirements for submitting an application for Site Plan Control. If you are acting as an agent for the purposes of the application, a letter of authorization is required from the registered owner of the property.
Applications are available at the Municipal Office or at the form below.
Site Plan Control - Approval Process
Timeline: 2-3 Months
Pre-consultation Meeting
- Applicant meets with staff to discuss the details, expectations, plans and/or studies that will be required before submitting the site plan approval application.
- Note that certain studies may be required to be peer reviewed.
- Early consultation with local departments and external agencies is strongly recommended.
Complete Application Submission
- Applicant will prepare and submit an application form, the required plans, documents, applicable application fees and/or deposits.
Review & Circulation
- Application is circulated to internal departments/ external agencies.
- Staff will review the application and strive for approval within 60 days of submission.
- Applicant will revise and resubmit any documents as required based on department/ agency comments.
- Note there is no public notification or circulation of site plan applications.
Application Revision & Resubmission
- Once the application review is finalized, the Planner prepares a report for approval with or without conditions.
- Application is presented to the CAO for approval.
Site Plan Agreement & Registration
- Applicant will enter into a Site Plan Control Agreement between the Owner(s) and Village.
- The Agreement will be registered on title to the lands to the satisfaction of the Village Solicitor.
- Once registered, a building permit may be issued subject to OBC requirements.
