- Zoning By-law Amendment 03-2024, Collar Hill Road, deferred until sanitary allocation, technical review of the servicing strategy & stormwater management plan, slope stability & traffic impact studies have received third party review.
- By-law 35-2024 to Declare a portion of Drummond St. surplus approved.
- Fortification By-law 37-2024 deferred to the July 22nd Committee of the Whole meeting for review and comment.
- A summary report was provided concerning the Planning designation and accepted uses for the former Wolford School Property.
- Municipal Conditions of Approval for Draft Plan of Subdivision (Merrickville Estates II) are to be forwarded to the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville.
- The delegation concerning the heritage designation of municipal cemeteries & community impacts provided by Rory Blaisdell was received for information.
- By-law 39-2024 for the Regulation of Backyard Hens received 1st & 2nd reading. It will be brought back to the July 8th Regular Council Meeting.
- A Video Surveillance Policy was approved. The layout of the placement of signs and cameras will be brought to the July 8th Regular Council Meeting.
- A Capital Budget Status Report identifying the work that has been completed to date was received for information.
- The HPAC 2024-01 Report to give Heritage Designation to the McGuigan Cemetery was deferred to allow for public comments. A Special Meeting will be scheduled on July 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. to consider the proposed designation.
- The petition regarding the prioritization of gravel road maintenance in Wolford Ward was received for information.
- Council proclaimed June 29th, 2024 as Merrickville Lions Day in celebration of the Lions’ Club 70th anniversary.
- The ATV Trail Proposal from Johnstown and Rideau Lakes ATV Clubs will require additional information and consultation with the United Counties and the Chamber of Commerce. A delegation concerning the proposal will be scheduled for the July 8th Regular Council Meeting.
- The local female athletes competing in the Amateur World Powerlifting Championships in Limerick, Ireland this August will receive a $1,000 gold sponsorship donation, identifying Merrickville-Wolford Branding on their promotional material.
