The purpose of the Recreation Advisory Committee is to provide leadership and guidance in the development, promotion, awareness, and enhancement of recreation and healthy active living within the Municipality. The goal and intent of the Committee is to assist the Municipality by recommending to Council implementation of various initiatives and processes which ensure the needs of the community are reflected pertaining to recreation, wellness, and healthy active living development and services.

The Committee is appointed by Council and is comprised of four (4) members of the public from Merrickville-Wolford and one (1) member of Council. The Head of Council is a non-voting member (ex-officio).
