The purpose of the Village of Merrickville-Wolford Property Standards Committee is to hear a lawful appeal from an Order issued by the Village Property Standards Officer. The Committee may determine if the order shall be upheld, modified or rescinded, or extend the time for complying with the order. The Committee is authorized in accordance with the Municipal Act, Building Code Act and the Village of Merrickville-Wolford Property Standards By-law.

The Committee is comprised of at least three (3) members of the public that are appointed by Council, one (1) Council Liaison appointed by Council, and the Head of Council is a member as ex-officio.
