The purpose of the Village of Merrickville-Wolford’s Community Wellness & Environmental Advisory Committee (CWEAC) is to provide advice and recommendation to Council on matters associated with healthy, active living, building and sustaining strong community connections, and the preservation and conservation of the Village’s natural environment. The Committee supports the work of Council by recommending and supporting initiatives that enhance community, activity, and wellness and to champion environmental stewardship.

The Committee is appointed by Council and is comprised of nine (9) voting members, one (1) Council Liaison appointed by Council, and the Head of Council is a non-voting member (ex-officio).
