FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Merrickville, ON) – Mayor Douglas Struthers is pleased to announce that the Village of Merrickville-Wolford is the Communities in Bloom National winner in the 2,501 – 7,500 Population category. National Champions and Canada’s Prettiest Village, Merrickville-Wolford received a 5 Blooms – Bronze rating and a special mention for the Story Trail Program during the 2019 Symposium and Awards Ceremony in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The community also received recognition for Outstanding Achievement with the Municipal World Winterlife Award.
